Black Dog - Levi Pinfold

A black dog appears one morning outside of Hope's family home. Each family member see's the dog and as they hide it grows bigger and bigger...leaving Hope to find the courage to face the dog, as she does it becomes smaller and smaller until eventually curling up in their front room. I loved the scale that the illustrator uses within his illustration but also the overall deeper message that the things that you are worried or frightened about are never as big as they appear to be. A wonderful book!
