What are you reading?

Don't miss these two either...

Dark Matter: A Ghost Story, by Michelle Paver
You might have read her Wolf Brother triliogy, but her new book is a ghost story set in the arctic and is wonderfully atmospheric and creepy...
'...As night returns to claim the land, Jack feels a creeping unease. One by one, his companions are forced to leave. He faces a stark choice. Stay or go. Soon he will see the last of the sun, as the polar night engulfs the camp in months of darkness. Soon he will reach the point of no return - when the sea will freeze, making escape impossible. And Gruhuken is not uninhabited. Jack is not alone. Something walks there in the dark...'

My Sister Lives On The Mantelpiece, by Annabel Pitcher
I fell in love with the all of the charcters within this book, but especially Jamie. It made me laugh out loud and then cry within a few pages of each other, the story is sad but Jamie is so full of hope that you want to keep reading to find out if he will be okay... it touches on issues such as alcoholism, bullying and racism. A great read.
